Eli Kashifpur, a member of the central committee of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan, was responsible for the party’s affairs in the northeastern region of Kurdistan.
On August 15, 1990, while with his children in the city of Konya, Turkey, under the protection of the United Nations refugee agency, he was ambushed and martyred by terrorists of the reactionary Islamic regime of Iran.
On the occasion of this day, we remember Eli and all the martyrs of the path to the liberation of Kurdistan and strongly condemn the barbaric acts of the Islamic Republic’s regime. Martyrs are immortal and always live in the hearts of the people.
